Doctor's certificate?

My friend has been off ill for three days--he is still very ill indeed--at what point must he seek a note from the doctor?

• Yes ofcourse to have certificate being a part of administrative principle in any organisation. Why to so loud about but call a doctor ask him to check and issue a bonafide certificate of coursee charge you have to bear dear.
