Yes, it is possible to buy insurance online, however I strongly recommend you don't! A website typically won't give you an objective opinion on whether a company is good or not. They also won't be able to give you feedback on your application if there are any substandard risks. (when you submit the application if you have medical conditions the website will submit the application anyways. If you go through a live person, they might say "Wait a minute, ABC is cheaper in the begining, but with this information we now have, there's a good chance you will get heavily rated with a 75% rating due to this illness with ABC company that we are applying for, but XYZ company won't rate you at all becuase they have a different underwritting process for this product, so in the end they will be cheaper than ABC company"

Go through a broker in person. Their services are typically free as well, and they can do all the functions of a website (shop around, compare multiple quotes, give you resources to educate you, etc), PLUS they can directly answer your questions and provide you with additional feedback throughout the process to help you along. A website might be good to give you a rough idea of which way to go or to get some basic knowledge, but with a major financial decision that can mean the difference of leaving nothing for your family, or litterally hundreds of thousands of dollars...I'd want to make sure I was dealing with someone that will fully give me the info I need, rather than just collect up an application and push out another policy every 5 minutes.

  • Possible but mostly Life and otehr insurance will end up dealing with an agent/finance professional only. Also you're better of dealign directly with an agent in your local area. You might want to analyze different insurance companies and then work with an agent in the particular insurance firm. Good luck!
  • yea u can...and i would say it is as safe as buying anything online.
