Do you have a flood policy? No insurance company covers flood. All flood coverage is administered by FEMA. Insurance agents sell the policies on behalf of FEMA. The insurance company does not pay the claim. You're at the mercy of FEMA on this type of claim.

Now, if you are referring to water damage that may have occurred from a burst pipe or leakage from ceiling or roof damage, that will depend on the company and how quickly their adjuster got to you or when you provided the estimates and they reviewed them. All insurance companies are not equal. Each has different service times and coverage amounts that they determine need to be paid.

  • You probly do not really mean flood. You probly mean a pipe broke and floodded your home.

    It is usually pretty quick.

  • Usually pretty quick as long as whoever investigates finds nothing suspicious. 1 week maybe?
