Uk insurance companies that have gone bust?

I was wondering if anybody could tell me a list of UK Life/home/personal/car Insurance companies that have gone bust and out of business in the last 5 years? thanks.

I believe you will find that none have. Companies in those areas always have to maintain assets and cash to cover their liabilities.

• this is a very difficult question as there have been many insurance companies which have gone out of being /and policies have been taken over by other companies .
