Returning clothes policy?

Resolved Question

Returning clothes policy?

Hi. I recieved a top for Christmas which doesnt fit (it is from New look). I have had a look at the shp for the right size but they don't have it. I lookked fopr anm alternative but there was nothing that i liked. I have managed to get hold of the reciept but it was payed for on a card so the card holder would need to be present to get a refund. Unfortunally the card holder lives about 200 miles away. Am i able to get a refund in cash. I dont realy want store credit as they dont have anything that i like in the shop. Thanks for any help.

My son works in New Look at the weekends

you won't get a refund unless the top was 'not of merchantable quality' eg it was faulty

if it doesn't fit, then it only entitles you to an exchange for something the same value
or more, if you pay the extra

  • At this time of year this is normal. You have the receipt, just go in there and tell them the problem, you may get the money for it or store credit that can be used for anything, acessories, shoes etc. Fight your corner though.. and see what happens.

  • Your not actually entitled to anything but as a gesture of goodwill the store may give you a credit note.
