RE - Travel insurance.?

Resolved Question

RE - Travel insurance.?

I am 72 years of age and wish to have a holiday in Canada, I have discovered that my 'Travel Insurance' wil be DOUBLE someone of 62 years. I work out at a gym twice a week and jog every day (about 4 miles) Isn't doubling my insurance because of my age illegal and ageism discrimination?

If You are in the U.K. I would recommend Direct Line, I have pre existing medical condition, I have always found them reasonably priced on travel insurance !

  • no,it's just an actuarial fact, you will likely die much sooner than the 62 year old, regardless of your "workouts"....as a matter of fact, actuarially speaking you are likely to die while working out....never mention that you workout regarding any insurance purchases....it will only increase your cost not decrease it....have a great jog,,,,,
  • Nope. All insurance premiums use age as a criteria
