I have been 16 for 2 months, still no national insurance card?

Hi,
I turned 16 a few months ago and I still havent been sent or heard anything about a national insurance card?
My friends all were sent theirs a few months before their 16th birthdays but I can't figure out why mine has just not come...
Do I have to apply or could it still turn up yet?

if you have moved house, that could be your problem, you might not have informed the relevent places that you have moved.

you may have to apply.

the only people who recieve a national insurance card automatically are those who are under 16, live in the UK and for whom Child Benefit is in payment.
