- The time you spent asking this question, you could have easily received multiple auto insurance quotes.
You can do it online at sites like these
http://www.geico.com
http://www.quoteserv.com
http://www.progressive.com
http://www.statefarm.com
Or using the yellow pages/Yellow book and finding insurance agents.
The whole idea is to get a broad range of quotes. You're 18, so that's going to be expensive regardless of what city/state you reside in. Is the vehicle yours currently or are you just looking? Have you ever had insurance before? Continually insured for 6 months or longer? Is this vehicle financed?
All of these questions and more factor into your rate. I've found calling a big insurance company like Progressive over the phone was super easy and I could get a quote on a vehicle, even a hypothetical quote, and it was fairly accurate. Keep in mind, though, insurance quotes without a specific VIN # are not binding quotes, so you must own the vehicle, know the VIN # and your name must be on the title.0% 0 Votes - at least £1000 if you have your own policy, because its a 1.6.
if you go on his as a named driver, depending on his no claims bonus it can drop to as little as £300.
go to moneysupermarket.com and just fiddle with it all to view your options.Source(s):

so yours may be similar or dearer ,as it's a 1.6
It also depends where you live, eg city, rural etc0% 0 Votes - As you have just passed your insurance will be quite high, check comparison sites to find out and compare the price of your insurance, check out gocompare.com, theycompare.co.uk and confused.com etc0% 0 Votes
