Does anyone know if i am liable to pay charges to BT if i cancel my contract?

Resolved Question

Does anyone know if i am liable to pay charges to BT if i cancel my contract?

I have phone and broadband with BT. at the startup unbeknown to me ( yep dopey) they set up 2 broadband accounts by mistake, so for a few months i had duplicate bills seperate account numbers. me thinking the 2nd was my phone bill account..(paperless). anyway it cost me over £100 in bank charges where it screwed up my other bills etc. am i able to cancel with them without having to pay the next year charges they claim we have to do. i have only been with them since march.??

THEY set up two accounts? If they did this then you're entitled to claim back all the fees that have been paid and close the contract without penalty

  • Depends on their terms and conditions, which you need to look at.There is a good consumer forum where you can get a more detailed answer to this-as well as your bank charges issues.link posted below.
